Will ValueClick Be Acquired Next?

With Adobe’s recent acquisition of Omniture for approximately $1.8 billion, shares of ValueClick (VCLK) once again began to rise on the rumor that perhaps they may be next.  In fact, since the Omniture acquisition announcement, they have risen 9%.

The Rubicon Project has used some of the $33 million they have previously raised in venture funding to acquire Others Online, an audience optimization company whose technology optimizes inventory and audience.
